- Facilitation 2.0 – Accelerating Trade and Investment Flows
Monday 11 December, 15:15-16:45 | Trade and Sustainable Development Symposium (TSDS) l Bolsa de Cereales, Av. Corrientes 123, Breakout room 1As part of the E15 Initiative track of the TSDS, this session will look at whether the facilitation model is a useful multilateral framework to address behind-the-border barriers to trade. The session will also examine potential lessons from where the TFA has spurred capacity building, including through public-private partnerships addressing implementation of TFA commitments in developing countries – in particular the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation.

- WTO Trade Facilitation on Track
Tuesday 12 December, 10:30-12:30 | Annex D at the WTO Ministerial l Hilton Conference Center, Meeting Room Buen AyreWTO Trade Facilitation Agreement Facility, in cooperation with Global Express Association (GEA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Trade Center (ITC), UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), World Customs Organization (WCO), World Economic Forum (WEF), the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation and the World Bank Group is hosting a panel discussion focusing on results achieved through the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement and case studies on Risk Management, Time Release Study, and National Trade Facilitation Committees.

Tuesday 12 December, 11:45-12:30 | Argentina-led Business Forum l Kirchner Cultural Centre (CCK), Sarmiento 151Trade facilitation remains the single most powerful way to increase trade flows, helping to significantly reduce the times and costs of international trade. The panel will assess the trade facilitation landscape after the entry into force of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and discuss ways in which governments and the private sector can work together to continue promoting connection to global value chains and export diversification through investment facilitation measures.

- Trade Facilitation through public-private collaboration in Argentina
Wednesday 13 December, 08:30-10:30 | Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation / German Alliance for Trade Facilitation l ICC/CAC Argentina Offices, Leandro Alem Avenue 36The Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation, working jointly with the German Alliance for Trade Facilitation, has been evaluating a potential project in Argentina. This working breakfast will be an opportunity to present the Alliances’ methodology and involvement in Argentina while discussing practical steps for public-private collaboration. Speakers on the panel will outline key roles for the government and the private sector and ways forward for co-created trade facilitation reforms in Argentina.
