The publicly listed company is guided by its purpose that through sport it has the power to change lives. Founded in 1949, adidas now has more than 61,400 employees and operates in over 160 countries.

The company operates a global supply chain, transporting products from more than 500 independent factories and as a result, has a wealth of practical knowledge about managing cross-border supply chains.

This expertise will be invaluable to Alliance projects, which support developing and least developed countries in streamlining cross-border trade. These reforms benefit businesses of all sizes, particularly micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), who are most affected by unnecessary barriers.

Alliance global business partners include some of the world’s largest manufacturers, retailers, and logistics companies, working alongside local business partners to further trade reforms. These companies share a commitment to the full implementation of the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement, which makes cross-border trade simpler, faster, and more cost-effective.
