Specialists from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service participated in a risk management workshop conducted by the Alliance for Colombian Institute of Agriculture (ICA) officials. The workshop featured live discussions and activities on the challenges of importing and exporting in the face of a disease outbreak, tools for pest risk analysis in plants, use of e-signatures for paper-based sanitary certificates and more.
The workshop aimed to inform ICA officials of current processes and best practices in the U.S. and ultimately contributed to the project’s objective of optimising agri-food systems and streamlining risk management processes in Colombia.
